Throughout our almost 4 year relationship with TRM they have proven to be a responsive company. The Outstanding Leadership team ensures that their Therapists and Billing Team are on the leading edge of education in this sensitive time of Medicare changes. TRM is now in all 6 of our facilities. I am confident in our Rehab Services knowing that TRM is our partner in providing those services.

Health Concepts

We had our first service contract with Therapy Resources Management, LLC back in September 1999, actually a month before they went live as a separate company, and we've been partnered with them ever since. Back in '99 when we signed our service agreement with Therapy Resources Management, Medicare had just shifted over to the prospective payment system and at that time and ever since they have demonstrated their ability to work within the reimbursement structures and to really partner with us in a proactive and very professional manner. In our dealings with Therapy Resources Management, they have consistently demonstrated their ability to meet the needs of our residents and to elevate the level of rehab services in our facilities. Therapy Resources Management has demonstrated that they have knowledge and resources to partner with us to elevate the level of rehab services in our facilities and to do so in an ethical and cost effective manner. The therapists from Therapy Resources Management have the ability to integrate into the care team in each of our centers and to provide services as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

Rhode Island Healthcare Association

I think what's really important, is we have a very large associate membership here at the Rhode Island Health Care Association. Really, if you want to look to a model of what an associate member is, you would look at TRM as being that model associate member. Again, they go above and beyond what you expect from an associate member.

When we choose TRM what impressed me the most was that they were a small company, but the leadership had a good deal of background from larger companies. They said to us that they were going to be more responsive than the national companies. Well, they kept their promise. From the day that we joined together, they have been very responsive to all of our needs here at Orchard View Manor. TRM is the kind of company that we felt comfortable partnering with. One of our primary goals was to develop a high quality sub-acute unit and we thought TRM would be the ideal partner to do that because of their experience, expertise, and the quality of people that they had. Well, the story continued and we have in fact developed a very high quality sub-acute unit and we have gained a reputation in this state for being one of the better rehabilitation units in the state. One of the things that was important to us, was to make sure that we had a team from TRM that would work well with our nursing team. That's so important. And what happened was that we not only integrated them but they have become one unit. And it's because of the background of those people and how they deal with our nursing staff. And that becomes very, very important when you're trying to produce a quality product and give our residents everything that they deserve. Something that's important to me, is when a company, when a vendor, helps support organizations that stand up for our profession in long term care. TRM has done that, they have supported the Rhode Island Health Care Association. They have supported the American College of Healthcare Administrators. Both of those organizations are important in terms of trying to make sure that we provide the best quality care that we can possibly provide. And by vendor support like TRM, we are able to have those organizations be more effective in trying to achieve those goals. We constantly get mailings from other companies looking for us to consider them to be our rehabilitation company. But I must tell you that each time the thought goes through my mind: why should I leave TRM, when I have a company that has been here for close to 15 years, has provided us with very high quality employees, that has been responsive to our needs, and who has been financially helpful in a lot of ways in building the kind of reputation that we've got in regards to quality sub-acute rehabilitation.

The success of any outsource service depends on two things: the on-site manager and the support they receive from their corporate structure; even though TRM is a small company they seem to have the resources to support their on-site team. TRM claims "They are not perfect, but they are responsive." and I've always found that to be true. Whenever there is an issue they have reacted quickly and worked with us to achieve a solution. One of the things that has impressed me most about TRM is their ability to find the right mix of therapists for our facility. Overlook is located in a rural area of Rhode Island and staffing has always been a major challenge here, TRM has consistently provided therapists that fit in with our staff and become part of our team here. Overlook has been using TRM for therapy services since they started providing services, they have consistently provided great therapy teams with the right chemistry for Overlook.
